We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer (all genders) with a strong focus on test automation to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions by designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests for web, mobile, and API applications.
We believe that continuous quality improvement is essential to delivering exceptional products. That’s why we’re looking for someone who not only has strong technical expertise, but also has a problem-solving mindset - someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about test automation. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute in our testing processes, maintain and bring value addition to our existing automation framework, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance software quality at every stage of development.
 
Important to note: We occasionally execute tests on real charging stations in our office to ensure seamless integration and performance. Candidates located in Munich will have the opportunity to be directly involved in this process, working hands-on with the hardware to validate real-world scenarios.

Your responsibilities in in detail:

  • You will analyse the requirements and user stories. 
  • You will design test cases to cover the requirements and user stories, while also building test plans and defining test strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective quality assurance.
  • You will develop and maintain automated tests for web and API applications while also being a part in bringing mobile automation to gain momentum.
  • Together with the product and development teams, you make sure all customer-facing teams know about potential issues and are informed about upcoming software changes. 
  • You will continuously optimise and expand test automation to improve efficiency.
What you bring along
  • Your professional background: You have at least five years of professional experience in automated software testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Your expertise: You have experience in Scrum & agile requirements as well as with tools and techniques used in automated testing. You are experienced with Typescript/JavaScript. You are experienced with web automation testing tools/libraries (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, TestCafe, Selenium). You are experienced with mobile testing tools/libraries (e.g., Detox, Appium, UIAutomator2, XCUITest, Espresso). You are experienced with API testing tools/libraries (e.g., Playwright (APIRequestContext), axios, Karate DSL, Rest-Assured, Postman). You have experience with automation tests and with setting up automation test frameworks from scratch and/or maintaining the framework.
  • Your language skills: We mostly communicate in English internally and externally.
